Korean makeup looks mainly revolve around a dewy, highlighted base with a lightweight and less pigmented makeup style that looks cute but bold at the same time. Here is a step-by-step guide to do Korean makeup for beginners.
Prep your face by applying a lightweight moisturiser, and then follow the usual procedure of applying sunscreen, followed by a fine coat of primer.
Add a subtle shape to the eyebrows and fill in the gaps, then apply the base colour over the eyelids and also on the lower lash line. Pick the shimmer shade and apply it to the middle and inner corners and apply it near the upper lash line.
Apply some puppy eyeliner and avoid creating a winged or cat-eye touch. Curl your lashes with a curler first, and then apply 2 to 3 coats of mascara.
Use the cushion foundation technique all over the face for full coverage, but opt for a lightweight and liquid foundation.
Apply your concealer under the eyes and on the blemishes, then simply blend it over your foundation to seek a refined look.
Once you’ve applied the concealer, it’s time to set the makeup base with a setting powder. Use the cushioning technique and see the final result.
Unlike the usual routine, Koreans apply a very little amount of contour. Just swipe it on the cheekbones, nose, forehead, and jawline, and then blend it neatly.
It’s time to add some colour with a minimal stroke of blush and highlighter on the cheekbones and seal the deal with gloss lipstick to get that Korean effect.
