South Korean actress Lee Si Young has reportedly pulled the plug on her marriage.
According to a report on YTN, the actress filed for divorce from her husband, restaurateur Mr Jo, after eight years of marriage. The couple submitted the necessary documents to the Seoul Family Court earlier this year and is currently in the process of finalizing the divorce.
While the primary terms of the divorce have been settled, some aspects are still being negotiated.
According to the report, Lee Si Young married Jo in 2017, at the peak of her film career. Their relationship drew significant public interest, particularly due to Jo’s success in the restaurant industry, where he was often referred to as the "Little Baek Jong Won" for his rapid business expansion. The couple welcomed their son the following year.
Lee Si Young frequently shared glimpses of her family life on variety shows such as I Live Alone and Point of Omniscient Interfere. However, after nearly a decade together, the couple has decided to go their separate ways.
Lee Si Young gained widespread recognition after making her debut in 2008, with the hit drama Boys Over Flowers and the reality show We Got Married.
Most recently, she starred in seasons 2 and 3 of Netflix’s Sweet Home, where she played Seo I Kyung, a special forces firefighter. Her intense action sequences earned her critical acclaim, and her athletic physique won her praise from fans and viewers. Besides her film career, she also trained extensively in boxing and even won an amateur boxing tournament.
