Faisal Shaikh has been one of the strongest contenders on Celebrity MasterChef. Looking back at his journey in the show, the social media influencer made some heartfelt revelations about his personal life. Here's what he shared:
Faisu took an emotional tour of his childhood home, a tiny one-room space where he grew up. He reminisced about creating his first videos in the small 1BHK, using a simple setup with a curtain as a backdrop. As the Celebrity MasterChef crew filmed there, he reflected on how surreal it felt to have a full production team in his old home. Meeting old neighbours and fans in his childhood area, he expressed gratitude for his journey. The visit was a touching reminder of his humble beginnings and the deep connection he still shares with his roots.
Faisu's first dish in the kitchen hit the right chords with the judges, and he shared an anecdote behind it: "Dabba gosht se meri bohot saari memories hai. 2008 se 2015 tak mene Dabba gosht mere dosto ke sath, family ke sath bohot khaya hai. But aaj agar mei kahi ache restaurant mei jaake Dabba gosht khata hu toh muje voh taste nahi milta joh maine pehle khaya tha. Toh vohi thought rakhte hue maine ye innovation kiya hai."
Farah complimented Faisal's cooking abilities, to which he playfully replied, "Yeh show ke baad toh pakka shaadi ho jayegi meri" (I will undoubtedly marry after this show). Farah seizes the situation, saying, "Main toh kara ke hi rahungi teri shaadi. I will make sure you get married. I will take you to Jannat. Her humorous remark made Faisal blush, and actress Dipika Kakar's delighted reaction fuelled speculation of a romance between Faisu and Jannat Zubair.
During a special episode where the team members of celebs were invited, Faisu's uncle had come. Farah Khan revealed, "He is Faisu's mamu." Faisu's uncle said, "I have seen Faisu's struggle from the small house where he used to make those videos. Today, when he is successful, I had told him back then that whenever he buys his car, I will be the one driving him." Faisu emotionally added that his uncle has been his biggest supporter throughout his journey.
When Chef Kunal asked Faisu whether he learnt plating from somewhere, he said, "I haven’t done any course. Mere father karigar the. Wo nighty banate the, toh usme jo designs hai wo banate the. In one day, he used to stitch 450 nighties. He was such a skilled artist that people sought him out to get their outfits stitched. I think I got those design skills from him."
In the Dehli vs Mumbai Chaat battle, Faisu becomes the first safe celebrity cook and he watches the challenge from the gallery. While having a conversation with Farah Khan, he recalls memories of Chandni Chowk days, "I used to go to this market near Chandni Chowk area where we used to buy clothes all those trendy and branded clothes for Rs 30 per kg. Then I would bring them to Mumbai and sell them on Hill Road." Farah says, 'Chal mere saath, Delhi jaate hai kapde lene.'
