Good opening
The film opened at Rs 3.2 crore on its first day and peaked on Sunday (Day 4) with Rs 6.75 crore, largely driven by Tamil Nadu audiences. The first week wrapped up on a solid note with Rs 30.25 crore. However, the second week saw a sharp decline in momentum, especially from Day 12 onward, leading to minimal footfalls by the third Thursday.

Decent occupancy rates
Despite the dip, ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ recorded a decent overall Tamil occupancy of 25.25% on Day 15, with night shows performing best at 38.93% — indicating that the film is still drawing some audience interest during prime hours.
Directed by S. U. Arun Kumar, the film stars Vikram in a high-octane role, supported by an ensemble cast including S. J. Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Siddique, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. With its intense action, strong performances, and emotional undertone, the film initially garnered praise from fans and critics alike. However, the steady drop in daily numbers highlights the challenge of sustaining long-term momentum at the box office. Our review for the film reads, “Arun Kumar keeps the tension alive by making Kaali vulnerable as he pits him against three individuals who he cannot trust and yet do their bidding as they slyly use his family as a threat in their own ways. At least until the intermission, the director holds back from giving us any peek into their shared history. All we get are mere mentions of events and names from their past — especially an incident that they refer to as ‘Sudhakar sambavam’ — which has led them all to this powder keg of a situation. This actually forces us, the audience, to individually imagine what might have happened, and pick characters to root for as well as hate.”
