British singer and former One Direction star
Louis Tomlinson has officially landed in Mumbai ahead of his much-anticipated performance this weekend.
Fans spotted the pop sensation at the Mumbai airport, as he made a quiet entry with his team. Much to his surprise, his fans spotted him around the baggage claim area and followed him out to his waiting car. Several others even waited outside as the singer quickly got into his car.
With some fans asking him to marry them, and other professing their love to the star, he flashed them a thumbs up and waved at a few before driving off.
Tomlinson’s arrival in the city comes just days after Shawn Mendez was spotted out and about playing the perfect tourist in Mumbai. Louis will hit the stage this weekend for his first-ever performance in India. The singer has long expressed his desire to perform in the country, calling it a “dream” destination in several interviews.
“India is going to be special; it’s somewhere I’ve dreamt of playing for a long time,” he previously shared.
For years, Indian fans have eagerly awaited his visit, with Tomlinson frequently reassuring them. “I really, really wanna come to India. Going to make it happen. It’s just a matter of when,” he had promised— and now, that long-awaited moment is finally here.
With just hours to go, excitement is building up ahead of the singer's stage performance. Rock legends Green Day and Shawn will also take to the stage at the music festival.
