'Where is Michelle Obama': Netizens concerned about Barack Obama's solo appearance at Trump's inauguration

Michelle Obama was conspicuous by her absence as former US President Barack Obama attended Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony on his own. The rumours of 'trouble in paradise' of the once much-in-love couple have been doing rounds for some time now. Insiders say 'the spark is missing' and body language experts feel there are "no active signals of togetherness". Earlier this month on January 9, Michelle skipped former US president Jimmy Carter’s funeral. Is all this signaling towards the couple's split?
A few days back, on Michelle's birthday, Obama shared a photo where the two are sitting across the table from each other with their arms extended and holding hands. "Happy birthday to the love of my life, Michelle Obama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace - and you look good doing it," he wrote in his birthday wish for his wife. "I'm so lucky to be able to take on life's adventures with you. Love you!"
Michelle responded to the post, saying: "Love you, honey!" and added a heart and a kissing emoji.

While all seems well at the surface, the warmth the couple shared earlier is missing. Michelle had expressed her inability to attend Trump's inauguration, Obama had confirmed his presence.
A body language expert told The Daily Mail that saying there are "no active signals of togetherness."
"Michelle looks relaxed and happy walking to the car but there are no active signals of togetherness for the cameras, with Barack himself wearing a more serious or dour expression as he walks behind his wife."
“The Obamas are having a tough time, there’s no doubt about that. The Aniston ‘affair’ attention was unwanted, and Michelle felt let down by it all. The reality is, they’re more like friends at the moment. The spark has gone, and they’re simply going through the motions," an insider quoted by RadarOnline.com said.


"I wonder where Michelle Obama is? She wasn’t with Barack at Carters funeral. She wasn’t at the inauguration either," a user wrote.
"Where is Michelle Obama and why has no one mentioned it at all ? Also Mike pence is alone as well . Low class at it's best," another said.

"That’s interesting- I watched the inauguration and the Clintons, President Bush (and I think Laura but I can’t remember for sure) and President Obama were all there, so I don’t know where you are getting that. Since Michelle Obama missed the Carter funeral, I hear she is ill," another expressed concern about Michelle's health.
